Tha guys from Ba Hao Lou (building no. 8)
Since I started my semester at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, I got to know a lot of people in my dorm, which is building no. 8. Since it is common to mix Chinese into all the other languages, like English, here, we always say “ba hao lou”. I never heard someone say “building no. 8″ or something like this. The same for example applies to “lao shi” (teacher), “kao shi” (examination) or other words.
Since I left Shanghai about one week ago, I want to post some pictures for reviewing the nice time I had there and give you some impression of it. So first, let me show you some pictures of one Saturday night, where we sat outside to chat, drink German beer and smoke Shisha (water-pipe)
Here is another big event when all the guys came to celebrate Sinusis birthday… And made this guy from Chad a white man
And this is sinusi becoming white on his birthday
Now, before we come to the highlight of this post, a few pictures of the day of our last exams and Nagis graduation party! ![]()

And now to the highlight, in the last week of my staying I met with Kelly and Edwin for a spontaneous Bob-Marley-And-The-Wailers-Jam-Session to enjoy making some music. Just look at the result yourself. By the way, with this I also held my promise to give you some sample of me playing my new bass
First, the play-along. Here we tried to feel the vibe of the song for adapting it in our own interpretation ![]()
Now tha main stuff. Some interpretation, without the song in the background.
There will soon be some pictures of Wuxi and maybe a guest post ![]()
Howdy!
